The city of Seville has a special magic about it. In its bustling streets, modernity opens up to tradition with a simple blink of the eyes. Behind every corner, charming neighbourhoods, museums, cute squares and monuments tell us the history of the city.
With the Guadalquivir River dividing it in two Seville is home to three World Heritage Sites. One of them is the Royal Alcázar, a palatial ensemble with different architectural styles and beautiful gardens where time seems to have stood still. The cathedral, the third largest temple in the world and the largest in the Gothic style, complemented by the Giralda tower, should not be missed either. And the General Archive of the Indies, built in the Renaissance style and brimming with history.
On the banks of the Guadalquivir stands the incredible Torre del Oro (golden tower), which houses Seville's Maritime Museum, while the Plaza de España is considered, for its own merits, one of the most beautiful squares in Spain.
On a tour of the city, you can't miss a photo op in the María Luisa Park and in the legendary Triana neighbourhood - Seville at its purest! And to marvel at the best view of the city's capital, nothing better than a trip to Metropol Parasol, with a walkway-viewpoint for contemplating the city.
After visiting the Fine Arts Museum and the Plaza de San Francisco, you have to return to the Santa Cruz neighbourhood, the best place for watching the world go by. The lights will start to come on and the buildings will light up, without losing the atmosphere that characterises a city that is always alive and welcomes its visitors with its open arms.
Seville is a city to be enjoyed without haste, step by step. Every moment is unique when you forget about time and start to get carried away by instinct. Savouring its beauty is easy and enjoying its corners is almost obligatory. Seville's magic captivates its visitors. Nobody can escape from it!
